JOHN ROBINS

To round off a whirlwind first two years in comedy, John has been asked to appear in the prestigious Comedy Zone showcase at The Edinburgh Festival 2007. A show that launched the careers of many household names is set to do the same for this talented newcomer. As an act John represents the new wave of storyteller, skilfully weaving narrative, improvisation and punchy gags into his unique, self-effacing style. As a compere John quickly made his name as one of the most quick-witted, engaging MCs on the circuit. Always willing to expect the unexpected, John guarantees a great show for audiences and acts alike. He’s the latest maverick to burst out of Bristol’s hotbed of talent and he has stories to tell, banter to have, and bombs to drop.

ASHLEY FREIZE

While many guitar-based acts use their musical skills to show off to an audience, Ashley has a unique angle. He cannot play the guitar that well. To distract from his mediocre musicianship, his songs are full of jokes and wordplay. With an infectiously joyous style of delivery and a collection of ludicrous tips and observations, Ashley's self-effacing manner on stage quickly brings an audience to a state of merriment and then keeps them there.
