ROBERT WHITE

Robert is a superbly original and funny comedian who is rising rapidly up the live comedy slope. From his first flushes of comic promise that acquired his placements and awards in prestigious new act competitions he has quickly moved on to build greater success and now, as a sought after performer, has an original comic gift that has been seen in many clubs across the country, praised by press, fellow comic and punter alike and even featured at the Edinburgh festival in an exclusive guest spot in Arthur Smiths ARTUART theatre show.

Robert’s seemingly un-assured appearance belies the assuredness of his words. Material derives from his abstract perspective with wordy and sometimes cruel humour, spontaneous musicality, obscure performance pieces and semi-improvised abstract off-shoots. It’s a collection of pockets of randomness.

‘….a funny and brave act that exists in the hitherto unmapped space between the music hall comedies of Noel Gay, and autistic savantism’ Featured in Timeout, London , May 2008

'However, the evening belonged to the precociously talented Robert White. With his quickfire wit and relentless energy reminiscent of Lee Evans, he had the audience in the palm of his hand. This very gifted young man is surely destined for great things, and justifiably so.' By Courtney King, Brighton Argus July 2008

Robert White, probably – no definitely – the only asperger (socially autistic), dyslexic, cross lateral, gay, quarter-welsh, ex-con, webbed toed comedian the circuit’ The Guardian

Very Funny fantastic oddball’ Tim Arthur, Timeout

Robert White stole the show. Robert White gave a stunning set – nervous, edgy and with an Eddie Izzard-style stream of consciousness which was original & refreshing. His delivery and material were quick-fire and highly intelligent ….’ Brighton Argus Aug/07
